Ferrari is Making Changes to Their Cars

After suffering disappointing results so far in the season Ferrari are looking at ways to improve their cars.

After a poor start to the 2011 racing season Ferrari bosses have started looking into the reasons that their cars just aren’t performing as well as their fans have come to expect. Key members of the Ferrari team management have flown to Italy to spend time working with the mechanics and engineers at the team’s home even to the extent whereby they are prepared to miss attendances at Grand Prix’s in order to sort out the problems.

Technical Director Aldo Costa, his assistant Pat Fry and the big gun, Principal Stefano Domenicalli have all flown to Italy in order to ensure that the cars are able to take on the competition in the latter stages of the season. Neither of the 2 Ferrari drivers has made it to the podium this season and Filipe Massa and Fernando Alonso are not the kind of men to accept anything less than first place.

According to a statement made on their website Ferrari are going to be looking into the aerodynamics of the vehicles as well as attempting to find out why the results on the track have been so different from the results delivered in the wind tunnel. Despite the poor performance of the cars, Alonso did come tantalisingly close to making it to the podium in Malaysia although a collision with Lewis Hamilton’s McLaren put an end to his and Ferrari’s hopes of walking away from the race with some real points. It’s still early in the season however and there is most definitely time for Ferrari to sort out their problems and get themselves in the running for the championship.
